The story
A white SUV struck a vehicle on northbound Chippenham Parkway Wednesday morning, triggering a chain-reaction crash that involved five additional vehicles and left six people injured.
Virginia State Police responded to the scene just south of Jahnke Road at approximately 7:45 a.m. According to authorities, the collision caused the chain-reaction involving seven vehicles total. Three people were hospitalized with serious injuries, while three others sustained minor injuries. The white SUV did not remain at the scene.
