How it works

The Report pulls from official county sources (the county government, police, fire/EMS, schools, planning and transportation) and local news outlets, then writes a plain-language summary of each story. We use AI to draft those summaries, and a human reviews them before anything is published. Every story links back to the original reporting, so you can always read the full thing at the source.

The goal is simple: one place to see what actually happened in Chesterfield this week, with the receipts.

What it is not

• Not affiliated with Chesterfield County government — this is an independent project.
• Not a replacement for local outlets — we link back to them and encourage you to follow and support their original work.
• Opinion is kept separate. Reader letters and editorials run clearly labeled as Opinion, never mixed in with the news coverage.
