Registration can be completed online through the Virginia Department of Elections Citizen Portal, by mail, or in person at the General Registrar's Office at 9848 Lori Road, Chesterfield, which is open weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. For additional information and registration options, residents can visit chesterfield.gov/registrar.
The October 23 deadline also applies to voters who wish to request an absentee ballot to be mailed to them; requests must be received by the registrar's office by 5 p.m. that day. Voters who miss the registration deadline may still register and vote using a provisional ballot in person through Election Day, November 3.
