The story

The Greater Richmond Transit Company operates GRTC LINK, a free on-demand microtransit service in Chesterfield County's Clover Dale Zone along the Hull Street Road corridor from east of Chippenham Parkway to Route 288. The service launched in March 2024 and provides curb-to-curb transportation at no cost to residents.

Riders can book trips through the GRTC On the Go mobile app or by calling (804) 358-4782. Vehicles typically arrive within 20-30 minutes of booking. The service operates Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. A maximum of four passengers per booking is allowed, and children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

The service connects residents to major commercial and community destinations including Commonwealth Centre, the Village at Swift Creek, Chesterfield Crossing, Rockwood Square, Genito Crossing, LaPrade Branch Library, Kroger, Cross Pointe Marketplace, 360 West, Belmont Crossing, and Harbourside Centre. LINK also provides connections to GRTC's fixed Route 1C and Express Route 82x bus service.

The service is funded through the Virginia Department of Rail and Public Transportation's Transit Ridership Incentive Program (TRIP) and remains fare-free at no set expiration date.
