The story
Tous Les Jours, a Seoul-based bakery chain, is establishing a growing presence in Chesterfield County with two planned locations, both still in development. The company, which operates more than 200 locations across the United States, already maintains an outpost within Lotte Plaza Market in western Henrico. The Chesterfield expansion demonstrates confidence in the local market and will mark the chain's second and third regional locations.
The first Chesterfield site is under construction at 7401 Midlothian Turnpike, near the Chippenham Parkway interchange on an outparcel of Chippenham Square shopping center. The bakery will occupy a former car dealership, expanding the 2,900-square-foot building to 4,200 square feet with a rear addition housing the bakery's kitchen. The buildout will include indoor dining and patio seating. A purchase by Tgislee LLC in early 2025 valued the property at $1.5 million, though its assessed value is approximately $535,000.
A second location is planned at 4,537 Commonwealth Centre Parkway near Brandermill in a 4,500-square-foot space that previously housed the thrift store Kid to Kid. The location sits in a shopping center that also includes Uptown Cheapskate and is near a Target store.
Tous Les Jours serves breads, cakes, pastries, coffee, and tea. The chain was founded in South Korea in 1997 and began U.S. expansion in 2004. Neither opening date has been publicly announced, and the specific franchisee operators for the Chesterfield locations remain undisclosed.
