A Chesterfield man has been charged with first-degree murder following the fatal stabbing of a Richmond resident in Gilpin Court last month. Nathaniel Walters, 29, was charged after a grand jury indictment in connection with the death of James West, 63, of Richmond.
The stabbing occurred on July 16 around 10 p.m. in an alley in the 1300 block of Saint Peter's Street. West was pronounced dead at the scene. According to Richmond Police, the stabbing followed a fight between the two men.
