Carver Custodian Named Chesterfield Schools' Top Employee

Earnestine "Rena" Hubert, custodian day porter at Carver College and Career Academy, won the 2026 RISE Award (Recognizing Inspiring School Employees), marking her as the top classified employee in Chesterfield County Public Schools. Hubert has worked in the school system since 2011, beginning as a food services associate at Bird High before joining Carver's staff in 2017 and transitioning to her custodial role in 2019. Her award nomination will be forwarded to the Virginia Department of Education for national consideration.
